Brunch w Daniela

We had Daniela and Luna over for brunch.

We were unable to make it to Luna’s Bday since I was in China.

We wrapped her gifts and gave them to her. She seemed appreciative but I think that she didn’t like them that much. I think it was because she’s not very artistic yet and since Daniela has so many art supplies it may have felt kind of like “more of these?”

Anyways Daniela really enjoyed brunch. B made his special eggs in a nest thing and I made bacon wrapped asparagus served with ricotta toast and Raspberry jam.

Bday scarf from Joy

Today I got the most wonderful birthday surprise.

It was actually Gaeuls birthday today so I honestly thought that we would be doing a bday suprise for her but instead we did a suprise for both of us.

Joy actually got us both scarves for our birthday. She is so amazing and i honestly cant thank her for being such a great boss.

From the rest of the crew I got a bliss gift card. So excited because I have never been so super excited.

Brunch with Lollise

It’s a gorgeous sunny Sunday. Had a lovely brunch with Lollise at Harefield Inn.

Had the huevos rancheros. Was so delicious and glad their wasn’t any meat inside.

After that we were feeling something sweet so we decided to go to Blue Stove for some pie.

We shared the Berry crumble with fresh whipped cream. Amazing.

Had such a great time with her as always. We talked about what it would be like if she comes to work with us and how amazing it would be for her career.

Hopefully it happens because I would be thrilled to work with her again.

Southampton Day1

This was my first weekend going to the Hamptons.

Furry, Tia, Diana, Jon and I stayed in Southampton at this cute little house. We rented the house for the weekend.

We had such an amazing time. We left Friday night and the shitty part about the start of the weekend was that all day Friday and Friday night it rained like crazy. The forecast for the weekend was rain all weekend.

I was super bummed but we figured that lots of wine and board games would get us through the weekend but it actually ended up being a gorgeous weekend.

Saturday we started the day off at this cute bakery called Tates where we got scones and pastries for breakfast and enjoyed them on Cooper beach.

After that we strolled through the town and ended up at Silvers for a late lunch.

Back At the house we had margaritas and hung out for the night. For dinner we went to the Lobster Inn. I had this thing called the Splat platter which was all types of seafood on this huge plate.

We ends the Night with some vino and Blue Valentine.

Adams Bday dinner

This morning I went to my Dentist appointment. I was relieved to know that It was actually only a cleaning. The chick that did the cleaning was actually super gentle although I did bleed a lot. Afterwards I felt fantastic since my teeth felt so clean.

Rode my bike back home and then headed over to the garage to pick up the Uhaul for trade show set up. This was actually painless since I only had to drop off the furniture and then return the haul. I got home around 4:00. At around 4:30pm Daniela showed up with Luna and we hung out for a bit.

I left to head to Adams bday party. His new boyfriend actually hosted it at his APT in Harlem. I actually had such an amazing time. At first I really did not feel like going but of course I ended up having fun.

Adam loved his gift (McQueen Book) I am super happy that he liked it since I was worried that he already had one.

I met one of Adams friends there named Jacob. Super sweet guy and we actually had a long conversation with him. Lolli and I were so amazed at his life story. He was a Mormon, moved to Italy on a mission. Was a gymnast and also a ballroom dancer. And somehow he ended up at Kate Spade after asking a woman about her dress at some party. Fantastic stories-The even stranger thing was that earlier that day Daniela and I were at La Mano pottery and he said he goes there at least 2x a week.

Another one of Adams friends that I met was named Dander-Super cool fillipino guy. We all had such a great time talking. Before I knew it it was already getting late and ended up leaving with Lolli and her friend Cha Jah.

Lo & Kiran

Lo came by the office today and brought her little bundle of joy Kiran.

It was so cute to finally meet the little guy. After only seeing like two pictures of him it was so cool to see the little guy in person.

I got to hold him for a bit which was super cool because he was so tired that he slept in my arms. Its totally the best thing to hold a sleeping baby.

GAY MARRIAGE passed in NY!

OMG I can’t fucken believe it. Gay marriage was just passed for NY!

I really couldn’t believe that it really happened. I thought there would be that one fucken bitch who would vote against it and just fuck it up for everyone but its actually real!

I am so happy and cant believe that we can finally get married! We are finally moving in the right direction for Gay rights and hope that this will continue to inspire other states to allow gay marriage.

What a momentous day! AMAZING!!!!

Bridesmaids with Lolli & D & Jon

I met up with Lollise in the East village to grab a quick bite to eat before going to see Bridesmaids.

We had Sushi dinner at this Japanese place right around the corner of the theater. It was so delicious. I had Lolli try a fried shrimp head and they were so nice because they warned us that they only had two left and that the shrimp was dead so they warned us not to eat it and only fried the head for us. That was really nice since usually they would just serve it to make a buck but they were nice. Also of course the fact that they were Japanese made it even better.

The food was much more authentic than the places that we go to in our neighborhood owned by chinese people. Lolli was super sweet and wanted to pay for the bill. I graciously let her since she really wanted to show how much she appreciated her Bday with me at the McQueen exhibit.

As for the movie Bridesmaids was FUCKEN HILARIOUS!!! It was LMAO funny. I usually never cry when I laugh but I saw that movie and at one part of the movie I was crying because of how funny it was.

I had such an awesome time. It was really nice also because Diana and Jon was able to join us for the movie. It was really awesome since we usually don’t hang outside of work. Dian and Jon are both so amazing and really glad to have work with Diana and to get to know Jon. :-)

Johannas Wedding

Johannas wedding was a perfect example of a cute small intimate wedding. Food wasn’t catered and the amount of people was less than 30 people.

It was a perfect excuse to dress up. It felt really nice to be able to wear our suits. Now I can say that those suits payed for themselves. We originally bought them for Rebeccas wedding in SF.

We had a great time and the biggest miracle was that it didn’t rain. It only sprinkled a little bit at the end but the fore case was rain and even heavy rain. We were all so lucky.

She had a beautiful ceremony which was organized by her friend and it was a happy celebration of the start of their lives together.

Attending her wedding really opened my eyes to how simple a wedding can really be. I mean the most important part of a wedding is having the people you really care about at the wedding.

Maybe even just having a wedding celebration than an actual wedding. Furry and I just have to do it and make it happen. We have to force ourselves to save up money and just do it. I can’t wait to be able to call him my husband. :-*

McQueens Savage Beauty: Lollis Bday

I had the most amazing day. Well let me start out by saying that I originally planned on spending the day at Lollis apartment in brooklyn with her friends but the night before Lolli emailed everyone and cancelled on her Birthday Brunch.

I emailed her back and said that we have to do something together for her Bday and so she told me on Friday that she wanted to see the McQueen exhibit and so we made plans to see it together.

We started the day with brunch at Westville and afterwards I took Lolli to see our Apartment for the first time. It was very sweet that Furry willingly helped clean the apartment up :-). She loved the apartment and I also let her preview my Fall11 look-book.

We then headed uptown to the Met- One of the best kept secrets of the Met that I learned back during my FIT days was the side entrance to the Met that only a few people know about which means NO LINES waiting to get into the Met-It was fantastic.

We went straight for the McQueen exhibit and it was WAY MORE than what I imagined it to be. To be able to see his clothing right in front of your face was STUNNING! The exhibit was sensational and honestly I have no words to describe the amazingness of his work. The Savage beauty book was a MUST HAVE and I also got Lolli one for her Bday.

Honestly I will never forget this day. It was an experience that I will never forget and I am so glad to have had the chance to share it with Lolli.

Cute little Cybelle

OMG today Shelleys little baby came by the office today- the cute little CYBELLE.

She is so freaking adorable- She had her cute little bunny with her and that reminded me that we need to get her the magnet toy gift.

She was really cute when I went to visit her at Shelleys place because she was eating cherries and she actually shared and gave one to me in my mouth. OMG she is so adorable-Just another reminder that its going to be time to actually plan having a child.

Dinner with Jackie and Noni

I just had the most wonderful time with Jackie and Noni.

We finally met up after about 6 fucken years! Can’t believe it. The reason we took so dam long to get to together is because Jackie remembered my number but she was one digit off. And since I finally joined Facebook they were able to get a hold of me.

It was really amazing to see them because it felt like just yesterday that we were hanging out.

Thats how you know if you have really good friends is if 6 years feels like nothing.

I guess what it all comes down to is the Chemistry between people and if you got it then you got it.

One thing that I have come to realize is that with work you don’t really have time to keep up with past friendships let alone make new friends but I really want to make the effort to keep my friends close and really make them a part of my life.

Noni is so amazing and is so dam talented and Jackie is as amazing as I remember her. so thoughtful and just the best person ever.

So glad to have them back in my life. :-) smiles….
