Turkey Istanbul Day 1

We arrived early morning in Istanbul around 10:00am and headed to our hotel called Mama Shelter.

We got there via Uber which was surprisingly not that expensive. The total was 100 lira which divided by 3 is under $40.
After checkin, we headed off to find some place to have lunch. We found this cute place that B’s friend referred us to and shared a wrap with three types of meze (starters). The bread was so delicious. B also had the licorice liquor which is Turkish that basically tastes like licorice vodka.
Our vacation in Turkey has been really amazing.
I had lot’s of concerns about being mistreated and getting haggled for tips and being overcharged but the Turkish locals have all been really nice.

Fire Island weekend

Finally, after our tattoos have healed and after Schnoo Schnoo took out his stitches were able to go to the beach.

We woke up this morning early and headed to Fire Island. Perfect weather today, warm and sunny but not humid.

The water was also a nice temperature so we both went into the water.

After we got off the train we went to K town for some delicious korean food. We ordered squid with pork belly which was exactly what we needed. YUMM!!!

Wounded Schnoo

So right before Pride weekend of 2015, Schnooboo cut his leg.

It all started with us messing around in the kitchen while I was doing the dishes. He walked by the handle and immediately the handle sliced the side of his calf. It was really quick and he said that he didn’t even feel it.

All of a sudden all of this blood came pouring out. It was really scary because it was a big cut. Little “VIKI” ended up licking a little of his blood.

I bandaged him up as best as I could and we took a taxi over to St. Vincents hospital near 14th street.

He ended up getting five stitches to close the cut. He said the most painful part was the shot to numb his leg before the stitches.

I was really amazed by how quickly it all went down. We walked in around midnight and after about 45 minutes he was stitched up and out the door. I remember when I “deli sliced” my thumb with an X-acto blade I waited in the ER for around three hours in queens. It was bizarre. They basically told me there was nothing that they could do since the skin was sliced off and there was nothing to stitch closed.

I guess living in Manhattan has it’s perks. :-)

Babysitting

So today after work I met schnoo at Andreis baby. They have a really cute apartment in Clinton Hill.

His wife ordered in some Mexican for us and after we ate there was a perfect sunset moment. Such a stunning view from their apartment window.

I had to leave at 9:30 so that I could go walk Miki.

6th Tattoo

So yesterday I finally got my sleeve complete!

John O Hara from Gristle Tattoo worked on it. I got Dandelion flowers and leaves with a Cicada.

He did such an amazing job. I’m really lucky because he isn’t one of the artist that have crazy long wait lists which are really nice.

I would definitely go back to him and let him do a full sleeve of something. Just need to spend time thinking about it. Maybe I just need to continue up the arm onto the shoulder and go onto the chest or back.

The original artwork of the tattoo that he had is just a draft since he had to shift things around a bit to fit the Cicada. The original plan was for it to be near Mothy but that looked too weird having to bugs next to each other.

New Season Trans 16/ Turkey flight booked

So since we got back from our trip to Korea we are already on a new season, Trans 16.

Its kind of crazy how quickly everything goes since the calendar is so strict and quick.

Also its official that I am going to be traveling on the next trip to Korea. When Nic last spoke to the team she mentioned that not everyone would attend the next trip but looks like mostly everyone on the team will be going again.

Now that I have been once, I know what to expect and what the routine is. I told Daniela that I would like to go to the shops and night market one night after work.

I’m really glad that she will be coming on the trips since it’s hard to be be close with the girls, especially since they have know each other for so many years.

Now onto our next Vacation- TURKEY! It’s official. We booked our trip to Turkey and will be traveling the week before our Korea trip. It’s kind of stressful to know that the week before traveling for work I will be away.

Only reason it’ll be stressful is because I will have had to get all of my work done before traveling.

I’m really looking forward to this trip. It will be exciting since we really haven’t done anything this exotic before. Our two main things to do are Hot Air Ballooning and going to this beautiful beach. I think those two things alone will be worth the trip. Also getting a chance to experience the culture and food of Turkey will be a completely amazing experience.

WOo HOOOO!

The New Whitney

So today was our first visit to the New Whintey museum on the highline.

There was still a little hype about the museum so there was a line going in but it didn’t take that long. B actually decided to get a membership which would actually end up saving money in the long run. We would just have to go two more times this year for it to pay off.

The architecture inside the museum and outside are one of the best parts of the museum. We took lots of pictures obviously.

IMG 5890IMG 5842IMG 5839IMG 5848IMG 5858IMG 5939

Purity Ring

Last night schnoo and I went to the Purity Ring concert at Terminal 5.

They were a canadian band and the other bands that opened for them were also canadian.

The music was pretty good, not as good as Sylvan Esso but they had an amazing light show.

Gagosian Gallery- Murakami

One of the perks for working at C was that we would expense movies and museum visits as “Team building” actives. We decided to go to the Gagosian Gallery to see the Murakami exhibit.

We got really lucky because the exhibit was ending in a few days. Unfortunately B was not able to go :-(

The exhibit did have his stylistic animated creatures, but the most mind blowing part of the exhibit was the huge size and scale. The figures were at least 20-30feet tall.

Also the metallic reflected surface of some of them was really amazing.

I could not imaging how someone would go about sketching one of these. Would have to be sketched in Rhino from so many angles.

Lunch w Furry

I had to run some errands in the Garment district for some zippers and decided to meet Furry for lunch.

He took me to Totto Ramen. We shared the Uni don which was complete amaze balls. Seasoned scallions and veggies w seasoned rice topped with Uni. So delicious. I love having Uni but when we have it normally it’s mainly with a little bit of rice so this was nice to get to enjoy the Uni with a larger portion of rice.

Gay Pride

So yesterday was Gay pride.

This was definitely not an ordinary gay pride celebration. On Saturday Mom called and said that she wanted to come and support our love by coming to the parade.

This was really sweet because normally I never think to include family to gay events because I wasn’t accepted before. Mom asking to come for support was really special and it showed how supportive she has become.

I remember the first time that I came out to her and her reaction was the complete opposite of what she is now. She dis-owned me over the phone and told me that I was no longer her son.

I am so proud at how far she has become. I know that every parent has certain dreams and wishes for their children but in the end you can’t forget that you should love them now matter what. If you child is naughty or does bad things you never stop loving them. Why should loving someone of the same sex be any different?

So thanks to Mom coming to the parade she invite Aunt Cindy, Ariel and Ant Amy and the triplets. Hanging with Ant Amy and the triplets didn’t happen until after we left the parade because of all the barricades. We were kiddie corner from each other but the barricades do not allow you to cross over so we decided to grab lunch together after the parade.

Ended up taking them to delicious Sichuan restaurant. Aunt Cindy actually agrees that this was better than the Sichuan restaurant that I took her to before.

Afterwards we bought some ice cream and had dessert at our Apartment.

Completely exhausted after the long day but definitely a memorable one.

Long Island hike

So today we decided to go on a hike to Long Island. Weather has been really rocky lately with all of the rain so figured this would be a good day to skip the beach and be out doors.

We had to start the day in Flushing because I had to get some meds. for Mom but afterwards we stopped to have dim sum. Always fun to grab dim sum on the weekends because its always so good. Normally when I have it with Adis in Jersey its just OK and not too special. For some reason its always amazing in NY.

After that we took a bus over to the LIRR to transfer to the huntington train.
Train ride wasnt that bad. Neither was the half hour bike ride to the hike.

The hike was really beautiful. We went to these old ruins which were very old. They definitely added to the experience.

The only negative part of the hike was the crazy amount of mosquitos. There were so many and if you took even a few minute break standing still they came out you.

Overall we had a great time. Mom and Adis took a break form us and wandered around for a bit.

Mom & Adis- Man of Steel

So this past weekend Adis and Mom came over to watch Man of Steel with us.

B and I have been looking forward to see this movie since it came out on Friday but since we spent Father’s Day with Grampie on Friday we decided to re-schedule.

I made this amazing lasagne with a simple arugula salad. They really loved the food. Afterwards we took Mom and Adis to the High Line. She really loved it. We only had time for a quick walk but my Mom loved it. She even said that next time instead of a movie lets just go to another park.

Planning to take them to the Hudson River park next time they come over.

Man of Steel was pretty amazing. Superman was SUPER freaking hot and overall I really liked how the director told the story. Graphics were really awesome.

Rosie Herrera

Had such a fun night with Furry today.

Went to see Rosie Herrera’s dance performance at BAC in Hell’s Kitchen.

Was a cool setup and for some reason plate inspired but super creative and different.

Normally dance performances can be one note and boring but this was full of lots of interesting moments that were very poetic and funny (#walkingonplates and #piesontheface )

Afterwards went to have a delicious dinner at Market.

Easter w Daniela

So we had our official Easter dinner at our apt this year.

When Daniela came over she assumed that dinner would be ready around three but that’s when I started cooking.

I felt rushed a little but by the time they finished doing the eggs I was done.

Dinner ended up being delicious. I made: potato leek soup, arugula salad with Parmesan dressing, baby rack of lamb and some herbed baby potatoes.

Daniela brought two desserts. A cobbler and a mango strawberry pie. Both were delicious.

Triples 16th bday

So the Triplets just turned 16!
It’s so crazy that they are two years away from becoming adults!

Time really does fly. I am so proud of how well behaved and mature they have become.

I decided to have them over for brunch to celebrate. B and I made them poached eggs over polenta w mushrooms, roasted asparagus, latkes and some breakfast sausages.

This was our first time entertaining so many people. Was only five but still was a lot to manage. Poaching 14 eggs was not easy!

They all enjoyed the food and we had a great time just getting together. Also they loved our new chair that we bought. Definitely worth every penny.

Relaxing Sunday

So today B and I just hung around the city and went shopping for a bit. We made an attempt to go to the New Museum for but the clerk told us that we would not be able to get through the exhibit in an hour so we decided to do the show another day.

We had dinner on the LES at Fatta Cuckoo thanks to our Gilt City coupon.

The food was actually really delicious and was a great deal.

B and I were playing around in bed taking portraits and were going to do some great shots of us black and white but taking shots that show real flaws etc…

Beautiful Saturday

Woke up to a lovely little breakfast made by my sweetness. Scrambled eggs and latkes. :-)

After breakki went for a haircut and B went to get groceries for our dinner at Daniela’s house.

I made a tartinery inspired lunch l- prosciutto and ricotta toast with some butternut squash soup.

After lunch we went on a lovely bike ride at the Hudson river park and then got ready for our party w Daniela.

Power of TV

So after we a watched an episode of Top Chef which was about fried chicken.

We started talking about how much we were craving fried chicken. We ended up walking to 14th st to Dirty Bird to go for some buttermilk fried chicken.

It definitely hit the spot for me.

Felt kind of guilty eating it especially since we already had dinner tonight but I think I justified it in my mind since I went to the gym today. ;-)

Dinner with Adis

So I finally was able to get Adis to have dinner at our apt.

For the past two weekends we have been trying to get her to hang with us on the weekend but her sleep schedule was so off that she never made it.

She came over last night for a Surf &Turf dinner. Ended up being delicious and we had a great time.

It was really nice to see her especially since I haven’t seen her in so long.

Apartment Closing September 10th!

OMG! I can’t believe it! Finally were almost there :-)

Our apartment closing is next Monday! It’s kind of ridiculous because this whole apartment process has taken almost an entire year!

I honestly cannot wait until we move in so that we can renovate and decorate OUR apartment knowing that any investment that we make will only add to the value of the apt.

I am super excited because its Labor day weekend so that means that this next week will be short! Only 4 days and then the weekend!

I am so happy that this is finally becoming a reality.

I really hope that me and B become healthier financially so that we can start saving for vacations etc…

GAY

I am really proud of my little furry. I was just catching up on his blog that he writes and read his post about Anderson Cooper coming out and about his feeling about people making negative comments.

I am very proud of my baby and as messed up as it sounds I still have that insecurity of looking over my shoulder or down the block if were being affectionate worried that someone may react negatively.

I remember one time when we were in DC in a gay friendly neighborhood when this fucken asshole made some gay remarks calling us faggots or something.

Alot has changed in our generation and it has been an amazing experience to be able to watch celebrities, actors and athletes coming out and seeing the public accept them.

One of my little cousins that I suspect to be gay was finally able to talk to me about his sexuality saying that he was unsure of what he was. I told him that he would know when the time comes and that there was nothing wrong with either its just how he was born.

I really am proud of our nation to see how much we have grown. We have a black president who supports gay marriage, celebrities that are gay and still have successful careers and more than a handful of gay tv shows and channels that are accepted into mainstream media.

I hope that our children grow up feeling accepted no matter what sexual preference he or she has.

Fire Island Sunday

Had such a fantastic time in Fire island with Furry this past weekend.

We made it out to Fire Island this weekend. The forecast was overcast but when we got to the beach after brunch the sun came out and we had a blast.

I was determined to finally go into the water and go past the waves. I have this huge fear of going into the water I made Furry promise me to take care of me in the water. I am always worried that the waves will take me out and ill drown or something.

Last time I was in Fire Island I really tried to swim past the waves but the pressure and waves pushed me off back towards the beach.

So as we went up to the waves I just pushed farther and kept going and it wasn’t as bad and as scary as I thought and after we got past the waves it was super calm.

We had a blast and so glad that we decided to go.

Biang in Flushing

We had the most delicious dinner tonight. Furry sent me a link earlier in the week to this new chinese restaurant in Flushing called Biang.

The food was awesome! We had quail egg on mantou bun, fried chicken wing and a delicious ox tail with hand made flat broad noodles.

Amazing and definitely will come back for their food.

Fire Island with B

Today we woke up early and headed off to Fire Island. When I first woke up I definitely was not feel in it but after a little nudge from B I decided that we really should go enjoy ourselves.

After we woke up and hopped on the train I was excited for the day at the beach.

It was such a gorgeous day and since we have been here before it felt familiar so definitely enjoyed ourselves since we knew the drill.

We walked from Cherry Grove to Bay Shore which was a mile walk but actually didn’t feel that far until we reached the end. There was several exits off the beach that were blocked off that was so annoying because we were both exhausted.

Syracuse with Furry

What an amazing weekend!

Furry and I planned a little vacation to his parents house in syracuse. We left early in the morning on Thursday and started our little road trip.

Our first stop was this small little town that had the largest Buddha in the eastern hemisphere. It was HUGE!

It was such a beautiful day! Perfect way to start the trip.

We made a few other stops on the way and eventually got there at night.

FRIDAY
The second day we went to this small little town Skaneateles. We got a chance to chill out in the town and explored all the little shops. For lunch we had fish fry at this small place. The food was perfect!

Really enjoyed being out there and had such a good time just NOT WORKING! It truly was a vacation.

On our way home we stopped by this slammin ice cream place called Gannons. I had the just java which was coffee ice cream with little pieces of oreos. Furry had the Lemon Custard which was just as good.

SATURDAY
Today we decided togo to Lake Oneida to go Kayaking. We started off in this little canal stream thing and ended up in Lake Oneida. After we got into the actual lake the view was amazing! We paddled towards the center for a bit and the water was so clear that you could actually see the rocks at the bottom. Even the fish were visible. It was such a beautiful sunny day and definitely worth all of the paddling.

We kayaked all the way to Fishermans Bay restaurant which was the perfect way to end the day. I was relieved to stop paddling and get some food.
I ordered buffalo wings and french onion soup- Definitely not good for me but when your on vacation anything goes.

SUNDAY- ANNIVERSARY
Today we had a simple breakfast at the diner close to the house.
After breakki we headed back and cleaned up and packed up. On the way home we stopped by this small town called Calicoon. Unfortunately since we got there so late the all of the little shops ended up closing. It turns out that this places is only around two hours from the city so we definitely are going to plan a trip back. We had dinner at Matthews which was really delicious. The hostess who was also his wife Dominique. She told us that all the food was local and that nothing was from a can, all food was made from scratch.

Overall we had such a lovely time together and definitely feel relaxed from this trip.

Dandelion leaves

So for the first time i made Dandelion greens. I remember many years ago when I saw my mom picking these out in the yard and I was weirded out that we actually ate weeds but now after seeing these leaves in organic grocery stores it makes me so proud of my mom for knowing about these so long ago before they started trending.

A little bitter but just the right amount and with a good bite to the leaves so great for stir fry dishes.

I made them with some mushrooms which was a nice simple side dish for my korean Daenjang stew.

Festen with Furry

Tonight B took me to this play called Festen in Dumbo Brooklyn.

The play was really well done. Even though it was all in polish it was so dramatic and very well done.

Thanks baby for culturing your Crinky. :-*

MOMA / Parents Day at FIT

This morning I woke up to a delicious baked eggs breakfast.

After breakfast we headed to the Talk To me exhibit at Moma. The exhibit was all about design and communication between people and objects.

This exhibit was so interactive especially since almost all of them had QR codes so that you can visit their websites and find out more about their work. Walking through this exhibit made me think about how connected we are to technology today. I remember growing up and the most used tech device was a video game and pagers.

For lunch we went to Menchanko Tei ramen place-delicious ramen that totally hit the spot.

After lunch we went to F.I.T. for Parents day. I was asked to be part of the Alumni panel (6 people) to speak about the the accessories program and how the education I received got me to where I am today.

I asked Furry to come with me and really glad that he did. Even though the auditorium was not as crowded as expected the fact that this was my first time speaking to an audience really was an awarding experience. I am also really happy that Furry has some of my talk on video.

Peter Herman A.Toy

Furry and I were walking around soho and I told him that Peter Herman had the A.Toy jack totes.
The store is so dam small and I felt so embarrassed because they obviously know me so I didn’t want to go inside.
Bart begged me to go inside and I didn’t give in until he got really mad at me. I finally gave in and we saw the bag. It looked fantastic!
So glad that he made me go in. Like so many parts/things in my life- I’m so glad to have him scoot me in the right direction. Thanks Lovey- I LOVE YOU.
Kisses forever my lovely

Soft shell crab dinner

So tonight I decided to make soft shell crab for dinner. This was my first attempt at making them and I really wanted to make them before the summer/season was over.

I made them with an egg wash and panko crumbs and topped them off with a little bit of lime juice. I liked them but wish I would have coated them with a little flower first before doing the egg wash. I would have made them more crispy. Lesson learned for next time.

Dinner at home

For the past two days we have done a really good job at cooking and eating at home.

Last night I made seared tofu and broccoli and tonight we made miso seared scallops and sautéed sliced potatoes.

Southampton Day1

This was my first weekend going to the Hamptons.

Furry, Tia, Diana, Jon and I stayed in Southampton at this cute little house. We rented the house for the weekend.

We had such an amazing time. We left Friday night and the shitty part about the start of the weekend was that all day Friday and Friday night it rained like crazy. The forecast for the weekend was rain all weekend.

I was super bummed but we figured that lots of wine and board games would get us through the weekend but it actually ended up being a gorgeous weekend.

Saturday we started the day off at this cute bakery called Tates where we got scones and pastries for breakfast and enjoyed them on Cooper beach.

After that we strolled through the town and ended up at Silvers for a late lunch.

Back At the house we had margaritas and hung out for the night. For dinner we went to the Lobster Inn. I had this thing called the Splat platter which was all types of seafood on this huge plate.

We ends the Night with some vino and Blue Valentine.

Saving Money

Tonight I got my first pair of Persol sunglasses. They are super simple yet classic. I traded them in for a pair of Versace sunglasses that I had purchased from Sunglass Hut.

I will forever be a customer there because they have such an amazing return policy.

For dinner I made pork dumplings with sesame miso brussel sprouts. Dinner was simple and delicious. I am really going to focus on saving money this month.

Fire Island with Furry

So we finally made it out to Fire Island. Living in the city for so many years we have heard about Fire Island so many times but never ended up going.

On this gorgeous day essentially the end of the summer we finally got our asses to Fire Island.

We left early in the morning to Grand Central to catch the LIRR. We finally arrived there around probably 10am and the weather started warming up.

In the beginning it was kind of grey and windy but it ended up being so warm and sunny. The sun felt amazing! Being at Fire Island was such an experience because it was super super gay friendly. This couple sat like 8 feet away from us which was pretty close considering how much space there was on the beach and totally stripped down naked! It was so amazing and I felt so free and open to be gay with my baby sitting next to me.

For the first half of the day we stayed at Cherry Grove which was more chill and laid back. For the latter part of the day we walked over to The Pines and found that it was a little more chelsea feeling. A little more crowded and a sexier crowd.

We did a little stroll through what they call the meat rack which was a little trail that guys walk on and pick each other up and I guess have sex? It was intense walking through having boys totally cruise you with laser beam eyes!

We had such a blast and towards the end of the day around maybe sixish we decided to head home. It seemed like that was around the time the party got started but for us drinking and all of that stuff is not really our thing.

Overall we had such an amazing time and definitely will be visiting fire island more often.

Frying Pan with Furry

Furry and I were supposed to go to Fire Island today but since the weather was bad we decided to stay in. Instead we went for a lovely bike ride in the city on the west side highway.

We took a little break to soak in some sun and then headed back downtown for some lunch at The Frying Pan. It was my first time there. Had such a good time since we sat near the top of the boat which was super nice because it was so quiet. The burgers we had were also delicious!

Saturday back in NYC w Furry

So today was my first day back in the city after my week long trip in China. Furry made me a wonderful breakfast, waffles and eggs :-)
After breakki we headed out to visit Treasure&Bond which is a fantastic store that picked up the A. Toy collection. After searching for my bags in the store I was so bummed to realize that they haven’t received the production yet. The only reason they had the product for the launch day was because they had our PP samples to show.

At least we got to see the amazing shop! Honestly so proud to be selling my stuff there since all purchases at the store are donated to charities in NYC to help the children. I think its such an amazing concept.

We then wandered over to West 4th to have a slice of pizza and PopBar :-)
Worked for a few hours, stopped by home depot for S hooks and then went back home.

Ended the night with Italian dinner in our hood.

Coffee table/ Lobster

So Today we got our coffee table. I am so freakin in love with it because we custom ordered it. When we went to their warehouse in Greenpoint they had great coffeetables that we were going to consider but I fell in love with the re-claimed railroad wood. It was amazing and I knew that we had to get it. We custom ordered it which they said was going to take 3-4 months but instead it only took 2 months.

We picket up the table today and its seriously amazing. Gorgeous wood with so much character. So happy and definitely worth the money.

After we chilled and set up the table we went to get some groceries at Chelsea Market. We had lobster craving again so we decided to splurge and get lobster. The lobster was delicious. This was the second time I made lobster-so much fun and super easy. We enjoyed the lobster with curry scallop and rice. Yum…

Tennis/Lobster Dinner

This morning woke up at 7:30am and went to play tennis with Furry. It was actually super nice because we only waited like 40 minutes to play.

After that we went to Chelsea Market and went to grab lobsters- yes lobsters! It was my first time I made Lobsters and they were so amazing. I really loved them and I was amazed how much lobster meat there was.

Dia Beacon

So this morning I took Furry to Nom Wah for Dim sum.

This place actually was very special because my great great grandfather owned the restaurant back in the day with his partner and later sold it. It was cool because the son took it and slightly remodeled it and kept the same old china town feeling and runs the restaurant.

We had a great time and after dim sun we went to Grand Central and headed to Dia Beacon.

We had such a nice time up there and I absolutely love this museum because the interior is fantastic because it’s so clean and modern.

July 4th

So on this July 4th furry and I woke up early and headed up to Governors Island. It was so much fun because it was my first time that we ever went to the island.

Of course one of the best parts was the Ferry ride.

The great thing about today was that they had Sculptures from Grounds for Sculpture. The big red steel sculptures were amazing and fun to see on the island.

We also went to the swing set- it totally brought me back to when I was a little kid on the swings.

After we got home we hung out at home relaxed for the day.

Maira Kalman

Today I net up with Lo to see the Maira Kalman exhibit and was excited to be hanging with Lo outside of work. It was so nice because After Lo has her baby she is not going to come back to work and is leaving the company.

The exhibit was really cool I actually found out that she is the M in M&Co a design firm that designed one of my favorite watches.

Mairas work was amazing and he had an effortlessness way of just drawing what she wanted to draw. So care free and loose not caring about it being perfect yet capturing the subject with her unique illustrations.

One of my favorite pieces was called Newyorkistan Which was a map of the weird pockets of people.

Pride parade

Hooray Gay Pride! The best part of today was The fact that last night Gay marriage was passed in NY last night. It’s fucken amazing.

Really really happy about that since I honestly thought that it was not going to pass because feel like there’s always one fucken prick that just fucks it up for everyone else.

So today Furry and I went to the pride parade and we even were able to see Dan Savage himself with his boyfriend. We had such a lovely time and afterwards had an Italian brunch in meat packing.

After that we chilled at home and around 10pm Furry and I went to the pier to work see the fireworks show. It was amazing and it was adorable because this gay guy from south jersey was going on and on about how cute the two of us were. He made us kiss in front of him. He reminded me a lot of Adam- just a sweet guy.

GAY MARRIAGE passed in NY!

OMG I can’t fucken believe it. Gay marriage was just passed for NY!

I really couldn’t believe that it really happened. I thought there would be that one fucken bitch who would vote against it and just fuck it up for everyone but its actually real!

I am so happy and cant believe that we can finally get married! We are finally moving in the right direction for Gay rights and hope that this will continue to inspire other states to allow gay marriage.

What a momentous day! AMAZING!!!!

7 Year Anniversary

So today Furry and I celebrate our 7 year anniversary together.

We had a lovely di net at Jewel Bako. I had the Omakase dinner which was so amazing. The fish was very fresh and the atmosphere very intimate- a little crowded but a great place for a celebration.

After dinner I took furry to Chickalicious where we enjoyed these delicious desserts made by pastry chefs right in front of us. It was a really fun time and the desserts were amazing.

Overall we had a lovely night.

Late night walk before my trip

Tonight I had a lovely night with Furry. My last night here before my trip to Korea.

We had a delicious dinner mussels marinara that I made for the first time. I saw it being made on tv and decided to give it a whirl.

We had a lovely walk around after dinner on the high-line then we went to the west side highway and walked all the way to 34 st and then walked back home.

Johannas Wedding

Johannas wedding was a perfect example of a cute small intimate wedding. Food wasn’t catered and the amount of people was less than 30 people.

It was a perfect excuse to dress up. It felt really nice to be able to wear our suits. Now I can say that those suits payed for themselves. We originally bought them for Rebeccas wedding in SF.

We had a great time and the biggest miracle was that it didn’t rain. It only sprinkled a little bit at the end but the fore case was rain and even heavy rain. We were all so lucky.

She had a beautiful ceremony which was organized by her friend and it was a happy celebration of the start of their lives together.

Attending her wedding really opened my eyes to how simple a wedding can really be. I mean the most important part of a wedding is having the people you really care about at the wedding.

Maybe even just having a wedding celebration than an actual wedding. Furry and I just have to do it and make it happen. We have to force ourselves to save up money and just do it. I can’t wait to be able to call him my husband. :-*
