7 Year Anniversary

So today Furry and I celebrate our 7 year anniversary together.

We had a lovely di net at Jewel Bako. I had the Omakase dinner which was so amazing. The fish was very fresh and the atmosphere very intimate- a little crowded but a great place for a celebration.

After dinner I took furry to Chickalicious where we enjoyed these delicious desserts made by pastry chefs right in front of us. It was a really fun time and the desserts were amazing.

Overall we had a lovely night.

Late night walk before my trip

Tonight I had a lovely night with Furry. My last night here before my trip to Korea.

We had a delicious dinner mussels marinara that I made for the first time. I saw it being made on tv and decided to give it a whirl.

We had a lovely walk around after dinner on the high-line then we went to the west side highway and walked all the way to 34 st and then walked back home.

Spring 11 Designs

So I have been completely stressing over spring designs. Basically we are several months late on spring designs and I had to crank a shitload of designs out.

The good thing is that yesterday alot of my concepts got chosen. Actually this is the most stressful part of the season. It’s strange because sometimes you feel so tapped out and completely not creative. It’s scary but once you get some positive feedback it really helps to push and be more creative.

Johannas Wedding

Johannas wedding was a perfect example of a cute small intimate wedding. Food wasn’t catered and the amount of people was less than 30 people.

It was a perfect excuse to dress up. It felt really nice to be able to wear our suits. Now I can say that those suits payed for themselves. We originally bought them for Rebeccas wedding in SF.

We had a great time and the biggest miracle was that it didn’t rain. It only sprinkled a little bit at the end but the fore case was rain and even heavy rain. We were all so lucky.

She had a beautiful ceremony which was organized by her friend and it was a happy celebration of the start of their lives together.

Attending her wedding really opened my eyes to how simple a wedding can really be. I mean the most important part of a wedding is having the people you really care about at the wedding.

Maybe even just having a wedding celebration than an actual wedding. Furry and I just have to do it and make it happen. We have to force ourselves to save up money and just do it. I can’t wait to be able to call him my husband. :-*

McQueens Savage Beauty: Lollis Bday

I had the most amazing day. Well let me start out by saying that I originally planned on spending the day at Lollis apartment in brooklyn with her friends but the night before Lolli emailed everyone and cancelled on her Birthday Brunch.

I emailed her back and said that we have to do something together for her Bday and so she told me on Friday that she wanted to see the McQueen exhibit and so we made plans to see it together.

We started the day with brunch at Westville and afterwards I took Lolli to see our Apartment for the first time. It was very sweet that Furry willingly helped clean the apartment up :-). She loved the apartment and I also let her preview my Fall11 look-book.

We then headed uptown to the Met- One of the best kept secrets of the Met that I learned back during my FIT days was the side entrance to the Met that only a few people know about which means NO LINES waiting to get into the Met-It was fantastic.

We went straight for the McQueen exhibit and it was WAY MORE than what I imagined it to be. To be able to see his clothing right in front of your face was STUNNING! The exhibit was sensational and honestly I have no words to describe the amazingness of his work. The Savage beauty book was a MUST HAVE and I also got Lolli one for her Bday.

Honestly I will never forget this day. It was an experience that I will never forget and I am so glad to have had the chance to share it with Lolli.

Weekend in Jersey

So Friday night I went to meed Adis at her work. We went to Jersey together- It was messed up because last weekend I totally cancelled on her because I had to get lots of work done. I was supposed to call her on Thursday to let her know the weekend plans but didn’t even do that. Also it was more messed up because I am the one that told her that I wanted to hang with her and I flaked out on her.

I actually had a great time with Adis. For dinner we went to the huge H Mart in Edison and got lots of groceries and made dinner at home. We bought sliced ribeye, soon doobu soup and kimchi.

On satuday we had a really chill day. Adis started making this delicious OX Tail stew that was amazing. She marinated it with this curry powder, garlic powder and fish sauce. She pan fried it and then cooked it for like several hours. It was so delicious and the meat just fell right off the bone. Totally reminded me of ox tail dinner with Grandpa :-).

We had a lovely walk with Poly around the block. We was being so cute because at the end of our 20 minute walk he was so tired and hot that he just plopped right down in someones lawn to take a break. Also another strange thing was that every time he took a poo- He had a little erection. I found that hilarious!

Adis had to get her oil changed so we went to get that done and then headed over to the mall. There were these awesome Puma sneakers that I really wanted to get but Adis wouldn’t let me because she said that they look too bitchy-BETCH-

Uncle came to meet us at the mall to hang for a few and we just hung out at the food court and chilled for a bit. I ended up buying this InCase Origami station for the Ipad and keyboard which I am actually using right now. Its so fantastic because it actually functions as a case for my bluetooth keyboard-I LOVE IT.

Japanese Dinner

So we had dinner tonight at this Japanese place called Takashi the other night.. As we entered and scanned the Menu I stupidly asked if they have any sushi and she said this was mainly a meat place that serves tar tar beef, Kobe etc…

We started with the beef tar tar. It has this baby quail egg and the scariest part was the fact that it looked like a brain. We also ordered the Kalbi beef which was delicious.

For dessert we had this delicious homemade ice cream. I’m not sure that I would come back but it was definitely an experience.

Cute little Cybelle

OMG today Shelleys little baby came by the office today- the cute little CYBELLE.

She is so freaking adorable- She had her cute little bunny with her and that reminded me that we need to get her the magnet toy gift.

She was really cute when I went to visit her at Shelleys place because she was eating cherries and she actually shared and gave one to me in my mouth. OMG she is so adorable-Just another reminder that its going to be time to actually plan having a child.
